   LIVER LOVERS DOG TREAT RECIPE

2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup low fat powdered milk
1/2 cup wheat germ
3 table spoons unsalted butter
1 egg
1 cup raw liver blended until almost liquid

Combine flour, wheat germ, powdered milk in a lare bowl.  Cut in butter until it resembles corn meal. Beat egg with a fork. Add blended liver mix well to a dough like consistancy. If dough is too thin, add a little more wheat flour. Knead and roll out 1/4 inch think on baking sheet. Cut into 1/4 inch squares to use as training treats for big dogs. Cut into 1/8 in squares for small dogs. Bake at 325 until browned. Let cool in oven for crunchy treats.
If you roll it really thin it will be cruchier.

You can subsitue the wheat flour and wheat germ for other kinds of flour such as rice or barley flour. be creative, this recipe is forgiving.
